after sch went to parkway to get the food for tml's food fair... weitin and lyn went to bedok to get cloth for the banner and tablecloth... me, fio, an ee, pam, junyan, zhangsheng and zuoyi went to parkway (like i juz said), to buy foodstuff from Giant. hahaz... we took all the baguette's there... all five...

after we finished with the buying... we went to PastaMania for lunch so fio, an ee and I shared a 10-inch pizza plus drinks... and we finished ALL the cheese!! u noe, the powdered cheese they provide? oops, those ppl there muz be thinking we all crazy sia!!

den later we took 15 to zuoyi's house... lalalaz... kaoz!!! his house is so damn nice lohz!!! 3-storey terrace wif garden... and his room is sooo neat!! i definitely wont ever be able to be so neat lohz.... hahaz...

so me and weitin juz cut out some patterns (got the patterns on a temasek poly paper bag) on vanguard den spray painted it on the cloth... i dunno how to spray paint properly so we juz let junyan do it lohz... hahaz... den accidentally 'permeated' the cloth and the ground kenna painted yellow abit oso... we played on the swing awhile... den later we tried to clean the yellow stain using thinner... managed to get abit off larz... but still quite obvious lehz... oops... =p

hahaz... went to holy innocent's for a carnival with carol and her cousin, violet. very hot there so we bought alot of fruit punch and then played a few games - won some fans.... lalalaz... then we went to kfc and shared a $10.95 meal... ya, then walked around abit and went to bugis to watch intolerable cruelty. and my advice is... DON'T watch it unless you can understand the american accent REALLY well or if you have absolutely no other movies to watch. i busted $8.50 today... =( pretty fun day anywayz... hahaz...

Yo!! Happy Deepavali!! hahaz... kkz... today i'll see if i can complete all the cheng yu and i'll make sure i learn the sec3A express 词语 (han yu pin yin only) so tt later tuition wont be so slow like wed liddat... lalalaz...

okay, a review of my final-yr results... ermz... chem was a shocker, dunno y dis time so lan... anyway, nxt time chem muz get A1. eng was a pleasant surprise, an improvement from past results, not too bad. chinese wasn't good, normal ppl should get A1 for chinese, but i've always been lousy in chinese so... juz try harder nxt time ba!

emaths was good... dun mind if i do better though, hahaz... made a few damn careless mistakes... amaths, since so many ppl failed, me passing is already a good thing... but amaths is a subject whereby i MUST get A1 since i suck at languages and humans and am stronger in my maths subjects.

geog is not too good either since mdm sim helped a lot but considering my test results... it's still okay larz i guess.... and combined humans... was a GREAT surprise!! hehez... very good performance considering mid-yr results (failed both), really improved by aLOT!! physics was also very surprising coz i didn't study AT ALL until last minute... muz keep it up wor...

overall, did well/okay comparatively for emaths, physics, amaths, combined humans, eng. Not good for chem, geog and chinese. yupz... tt's about all... lalalaz... compared to mid-yr, it's a good improvement... pretty happy with it... mainly B3s but could have gotten 2 more A2s... hmm... yeah...

phew!! i did surprisingly well for the most of my subjects... at least, better than expectations anyway...okie, i passed geog: 65... with lots of leniency from mdm sim i guess...and i passed english with 69! i really couldn't believe it at first! okay, it's not a veri gd mark...but u noe, in sec1 i ALWAYS failed summary. now it's like... 21/25!!! i think it's the highest i've gotten since sec1!! hahaz... den for amaths, i got 69 too! hehez... i passed too!! hmm... interesting...

den the most surprising is my combined humanities. SS: 33/50 History: 38/50. okie, mebbe for some ppl its juz a very normal mark... but to a person who failed mid-yr for both these subjects, it's a great achievement!!! I cant believe i actually got a1 for history!!! OMG!!! ehz... den for physics... it was like... such a surprise lohz... hahaz... at first i saw the section b and tot it was the full mark, it was 46/70... so was thinking :"Good. I passed." den i got the MCQ. 24/30. what the?! i got 70%!!! tt's like... A2!! my god!!

someone 'up there' has been helping me ba... thx to whoever it is... i'm really really grateful.

okie... bad news first... haiz... my chi onli get 49.5/80... kaoz... hmm, was expecting it larz... hahaz... tot i'd fail anywayz, so at least i PASSED!! den amaths... tong said i MADE IT =) but he was disappointed coz i didn't get higher... hahaz... but i PASSED!!! yeah manz! i really tot i'd fail coz everyone was like.. argh, how cum sho difficult wanz?? ermz... den emaths. heehee... at first i saw the paper i tot i get 70/100... den later i found out it's actually 70/80!! hahaz... so it's 87.5/100!! yay!!! so tt's $50 earned... =)

the whole comm was like... at the void deck for abt 40min before we finally decided to go to airport... lalalaz... sat down at the viewing tower and discussed abt the next 7wks before our competition at genting... den i had to leave early coz i had piano, and mrs foo had to wait for me, hahaz... luckily todae my mum gt half day so mrs foo can wait inside... hahaz...

yay!! we juz went to Novena Square celebrate my father's b'dae coz we had some vouchers for the Coca restaurant. Then we juz walked around then i gt a really nice Internet mag, it's got a CD with lots of full programs, and some kind of book abt this guy surviving in the new economy - it's supposed to be funny, i dunno - yeah, and the mag's gt stuff about flash, html, and the goings-on on the internet. anywayz, i also passed by a shop tt had jokes, thoughts and quotes pasted around it. I liked one of the jokes:

FINALLY exams are over!! hmm... actually i dont feel much... why? coz since tues i've already been pretty relaxed... lalalaz... went out with carol juz now after exams... actually we wanted to watch a movie but den coz later i gt tuition (yes!! i've got TUITION right after exams!! ergh...) so we called that off and juz had lunch instead. then we're going out on monday after getting our chem papers back. hmm... i did pretty badly, no, VERY badly for chem... coz juz now we had a glimpse of the marks... oh well, not saying the marks yet coz i dun wanna think it's true until i've checked the paper. hope there was a calculation error though... hahaz... :D

hmm... anyway, i think i'll be relaxing this weekend... then nxt wk i'll start to pia for chinese 'o' levels... hmm... yeah, shld be... tt's if i've got enough self-discipline that is... :P

wow, one of the NS-men died yesterday coz he got drowned or sth in Pulau Tekong... during the training he had to put his head in water... and he juz coughed alot and passed away after abt an hour or so... hmm... thinking about now, yeah, of course it's sad, but it has nvr happened before rit? if so, isit because the training was too dangerous, or isit because Singaporean men are turning into weaklings? okie, i'm obviously not 'tough', but well... think about it... :D and ermz... no offence to any guy who's reading this, k?

okay... amaths paper was a killer!!! i was actually feeling proud of myself coz i managed to do the first few questions pretty smoothly... hmm... a bit too smoothly, i guess... in fact i did almost everything pretty well... then i went back to check my answers and i was like... 'eh, how cum it doesn't seem correct wan ar?'... and anyway, whenever i do the questions so smoothly, nothing good ever happens. for example, the first few amaths tests i took seemed alright to me, but when i got the results... it was pathetic... sth around the lines of 1/13 i think... and the last amaths paper of the year... (see the post on Oct 2 2003)oh well, can't do anything about it i guess, since it's over... :P

anyway, i'm still feeling very happy since the amaths paper is over... and u know what? i didn't practise amaths much yesterday... only did the TKGS paper during tuition and about two or three questions from last yr's AHS amaths paper. so... if i pass, i'm juz damn lucky... if i fail, i'd deserve it (though of course i don't want to... der...).

well, tml's paper is Chinese... which is the last paper!!! yay!!! i'll be going out with carol after the exam... yEaH mAnz!!! we're going to bugis to catch a movie... got any nice movie's to recommend?

i've got tuition later at 4pm... so tada! i've gotta prepare for it... tink i'll read thru the sec2B chinese... hmm... wish me luck for tml's exam! hope i'll actually remember what i've tried to memorise... :D

i haven't practised amaths at all... except today of course... so i think there's a pretty high chance of me failing it... hmm... i'm doing the TKGS paper now... and if tml's paper is gonna be like tt, i think my prediction will come true... but unlike other papers... i actually DO care whether i do well for amaths coz i can only do well in my maths subjects... argh... haiz... "The vodka is good, but the steak is lousy." (it's actually "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" after translating into russian... LOLz)

phew!!! physics and geog is FINALLY over!!! yay!! cant say i did veri well though... hahaz... physics, i should pass, with a few lucky marks... well, at least i actually could write sth... as opposed to not knowing what to write at all for mid-yr and i still passed with a b4!! hmm... might not be so lucky this time round though... oh well...

geog was a killer... ergh... as i said in my previous few posts, I had little revision and thus i conclude that i WILL either fail this paper or end up with pathetic marks... but, u know wat? i dun really care now, since it's OVER!!! =)

tml's chem, and i've gotta revise that tonite... oh well... not many left to go... 7 down, 3 more... yEaH mAnZ~!

hmm... i hate the digital music issues going on nowadays... i mean, they keep saying not to dl mp3's cos it's piracy... but hey, instead of juz saying it and trying to catch ppl who do it, cant they juz hurry up and make some alternatives to online piracy??

apple has made a gd move by having tt digital music hub or sth... but tt's only for those who use mac!! we still dont have some gd reputable alternatives here in s'pore!! i mean, the reason ppl dl illegal music is because they think tt buying the whole CD is a waste of money cos they may juz like abt 2-3 songs out of all 20 songs!

mebbe CD-RAMA, instead of juz selling the usual CDs and having decreasing business everyday, shld launch some kind of online thing... like have a large selection of songs... probably abt 50cts to a dollar each (do try and make it less than a dollar, even 90 cts is gd, it juz makes it all worthwhile) and offer a free service to burn a onto a CD.

For example, i choose 20 songs, each at 90cts. tt's $0.90 X 20 = $18. then perhaps they can make it a choice, as in, if the consumer wants less than 20 songs, they have to pay an additional dollar for the service as well as the cost of the cd. well, sth like tt, i guess, someone! somebody! quick get down to work and make life easier for everyone!!!

and when the business has become more successful, perhaps the price can go down to 50cts each... which is... $10 per cd!! tt's soo cool! then it'll be a booming business already!! yeah man!!

eh... i FAILED my amaths test!! dammit, it's the 2nd test i've failed this wk!!! ergh... i got 20.5/42... and my god, i could've gotten 32.5!!! tt's like... more than 10 marks more lohz!!! for the first qn... if i'd juz written 'no solution' i could've gotten +2 marks. the last 2 qn: the answers were all correct!!! if i'd written a few extra steps, i could've gotten another TEN marks!!! ergh... i hate this test!!!!!

oh yeah... and todae during hist lesson, smith showed us a video on hitler... and he's soooo mr tong!!! after he speaks, he gives his hair a 'flick' to make it tidy again... juz like tong!! the whole class laughed after seeing tt!!! hahaz... and he also says ' For the good for the German people, there should be war every 15-20 years. NOT our debaters, but the no. of ppl who turned up!!! it was such a disgrace!! i think everybody frm 3H was there... and 3C?? onli a few like nelly, tho, fio, su hui, lyn, junyan, zhangsheng and daniel... and me, of course... my god!! onli 9 ppl out of 36 (3 are the debaters) ppl!!! so PATHETIC!!!

anyway, about the debate... i think our speakers were better... i mean, it was really hard to tell though... i dunno... i think our speakers are more dynamic... whereas 3H, although they're gd speakers... they're not forceful enough... well, tt's MY opinion... we'll noe the results tml... todae me and minqi went to see a lot of clothes... we went to metro, and i made her wear a black dress... hahaz.. veri revealing wanz...but looked veri nice on her, i tink... :p den she made me wear a stupid brown dress... almost as revealing... yucks... i looked horrible...
we walked around, and i tried this weird halter top (is tt wat u call it?) in this fashion, but there was no mirror in the cubicle!! minqi saw it and she said it was cute except for the bra which could be seen... ergh... dunno if tt was true... doubt it VERI much though...

shit!! minqi juz called me to say tt her ** father says tt we can only go out for 1 - 2 hrs tml!!! my god!! wat's the damn use of 1 plus hrs?? ewwww!!! hope she confirms the time she's gotta be back soon enough... can't stand it!!

todae we had choir frm 1 till abt 4.40, we had to teach them christmas carol and cui dong cui. the seniors knew them already, so we had the concentrate mainly on the sec 1s... but, oh well, when they combined with the other sec 1s, they didn't really know their part too well... gotta work on tt....
yay! tml i'll be going out with minqi!! she juz said tt she'll be helping mr tan do the data entry thing, so she'll be in sch till 1pm, so she can go with me directly to TM, yay!! and talking abt tml, i'll be seeing mrs goh and mr tong, yucks!! i wish i could go for choir manz... seeing ms lim is like totally the opposite of seeing the poodle and ninja...

the movie, S.W.A.T., was a great show!!! phew, colin farrell was so cool! he was like... wow!! i'm gonna ask my father to buy this manz.... he's in china now. that guy, Jeremy Renner, who acted as Gamble, was also pretty cute. okok, back to the show. it really action-packed and there's an endless stream of excitement. Watch it!

argh!!! yesterday i typed a post... but it disappeared!!! kz... juz wanna say tt my oral was damn fun... hahaz.. I have nvr laughed this much during an oral EXAM b4...

for conversation............
1st qn: wat's ur fave subject in school?
ans: english, especially last yr. (who was ur english tcher? Ms Charis Wong. Oh, tt's nice.) it's a very enjoyable lesson, and the english wk is held every year, and this allows us to play a large variety of games, so we can not only enjoy the lesson, but we can also pick up new words that we can use in our composition. (then, blabla... cant remember)

2nd qn: wat do you think are some of the important qualities a teacher should have?
ans: the most important quality they should have is that they should be caring, so tt the student knows the tchers cares, and will therefore trust tt tcher... blabla...

3rd qn: do you think u'll be a good tcher?
ans: i think i will only be a very average tcher as i dun tink i will know the subject well enough...blabla...

lastly... adrian leant towards me and asked: why do u keep saying that u wont noe the subject well enough? u seem like a very intelligent girl to me...! I was like... ermz... no la... my GOD!! how do expect me to ans tt qn??!! ergh....!!!!

hahaz... jus finished watching 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'. it's sooo funny!!! yeah man!! it's about this woman who's a journalist, then she's supposed to write an article about how to lose a guy in ten days, so she's got to date a guy and then lose him a ten days. the guy makes a bet with his boss that he'll be able to make a girl fall in love with him in ten days. so... they get together and lots of funny things happen... you must watch it!!!

yesterday we watched Great Britain choir at VCH. from sch, me, hanjie, shona, charlene and MINQI!!! went to vch by mrt. we watched the choir rehearse a bit, then we went off again for dinner. we decided to go to raffles city, where we walked around a bit, ermz.. actually quite a bit, then we had dinner at the foodcourt. I bought dinner for me and minqi (see how much i love her! :p), then we... ate.

so, we walked around again, then we went down to the basement to have get ice-cream! hahaz...ate for a while, then we went back to vch...

the concert started at 8.15, and the first half was pretty boring, but i managed (with much difficulty) to keep awake. the first song or 2 of the second half was also pretty boring - i slept through a song... just ONE song, k? - but the rest was.. wow!! i loved it! especially because the asst. conductor was sho 帅!! he's so young and active, i think everybody loved him manz... hahaz... it's like, when he was conducting one of the songs, he was like... sort of dancing instead of conducting... hahaz... it was soooo nice!! they also sang the 'ba jun zan', which was fairfield's syf song, but in english. they got a guy to sing a solo... wow... he was very mongolian (had lots of stubble... :p).

they had to sing two encores ... i clapped like crazy... hahaz...

damn it, i forgot to bring 韦老师's present to tuition... argh... Anyway, meisi couldn't make it cos she slept too late and couldn't wake up... oh well... Zhiyi came a bit late, and he came with weiliang, his cousin, i think. Anyway, they're both jokers (zhiyi more than weiliang though... hahaz...), so as we were learning the sec1 express chinese to prepare for zhiyi's prelim (dunno y my sch dun hav), they cracked a lot of jokes... dotz... weiliang really learns veri slowly... we had already finished abt 13课, but he only finish 4... :p ... (oops, dun tell him, k?) After the tuition, i walked back with them and they were like... "hey, this field is very 'holey'" (zhiyi tripped over a hole in the field)... oh well...

zhiyi & weiliang were waiting for 291, so when 69 came, I boarded it... den they were like...
